| The Bob Egan crew flies Poop Deck Pappy over England as a professional photographer from London's 8th Air Force Headquarters snaps away. The original photo hung on the wall of General Leon Johnson, Wing Commander of the 44th and 392nd Bomb Groups. The circle D on the tail indicates the 392nd Bomb Group is the fourth Liberator group in the 2nd Division. The B-24, Poop Deck Pappy, 42-7521, was transferred to the 44th BG on October 7, 1943. |
